Weekend Vibes: Homemade Nutella Poptarts

Aloha friends!

Growing up were you a Kellog's Pop-Tart or Pillsbury Toaster Strudel fan? Perhaps neither! But if you were a fan of either one, this weekend I have a cross-over Nutella treat just for you!

It's quite simple actually. I bought two packages of the Pillsbury Crescent rolls and cut the dough into 8 even squares (two packages was enough to make eight Poptarts). I put a dollop of Nutella on eight of the squares and made a sandwich with the other half. I pinched the sides with a fork and used an egg wash (i.e., beaten eggs) to seal the edges. Bake at 375 degrees for ~12 minutes or until golden brown.

The best part is the decorating. Wait until the the tarts have cooled and have fun with it :) I used icing and sprinkles to decorate mine, but the possibilities are endless  (e.g., spread the top with Nutella, use icing sugar or melted chocolate to make a glaze). Easy breezy and fun for kids and adults!
