Welcome to the SIDE-DISH!

We get it. Sometimes you feel overwhelmed with all the information you are being bombarded with on social media, television, magazines, and other media outlets. It can be confusing to sort out what is accurate and who you should listen to. There will always be a new fad or hot topic in nutrition. There will also be conflicting research or new areas of research that have not been fully explored. But don't fret, that's what we are here for! This section of our website will be dedicated to sharing and discussing evidence-based nutrition research, tackling current nutrition claims, and providing input from fellow colleagues.

To kick start this section we wanted to share with you two recent articles discussing why the science of nutrition can be messy at times, and why nutrition studies are not always in agreement with each other. We hope this gives you some insight into the efforts that go into nutrition research and the challenges we face as researchers.
